If it won't support theater, it won't get theater. Theater should get the kind of support the opera gets. I know I wouldn't risk money opening a show in this town. It shows you people will come to a play if they hear it's a good one and if it's in town long enough for them to hire a baby-sitter. And once they get into the theater, they enjoy themselves. They get involved like the Sinatra Lady. That's why I like the legitimate theater, I suppose.
